Danilo Parra is a 25 year old Chilean/American director and photographer working in New York. His directing work uses dramatic, crafty art direction and lighting to invoke a sense of surrealism. He has had his work featured in The Rooftoop Film Festival, The New York International Latino Film Festival, The National Arts Club of New York and the Pop Montreal Festival. In the past, he has collaborated with directors such as Matthew Frost, Terry Timely and Patrick O’Dell on various music videos and advertising spots. Currently, he freelances for Vice Magazines online television station as an editor and cinematographer on their documentary shorts. He also contributes to the Guardian’s video content as a freelance producer. In addition, some of his photographic endeavors have been shown in galleries in San Francisco and in New York. |
